Scholarship Value:
The Canada Government Scholarships for International Students 2026 provides fully-funded scholarships for master’s degree programs. The scholarship covers various expenses, such as:
- The scholarship provides CAD 10,200 for college, undergraduate, or graduate students (Master’s and Ph.D.) for a minimum of four months or one academic term of study or research. Graduate students (Master’s and Ph.D.) can receive CAD 12,700 for a period of five to six months of study or research.
- In addition to the funds granted by DFATD, the Canadian host institution is eligible to claim CAD 500 per award recipient to support administrative costs upon the recipient’s arrival in Canada.
- Visa/study/work permit fees/travel related to the collection of biometrics.

- Health insurance
- The scholarship will cover tuition fees and mandatory expenses for the academic program for a maximum of 20 months.

- The scholarship will also cover the cost of books and supplies needed for the recipient’s study or research, with the exception of computers and other equipment.

- Maximum of Two Academic Years (24 months total), which must begin between August 2022 and February 2023.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Eligible candidates must hold citizenship from one of the following countries: Azerbaijan, Bhutan, Comoros, Djibouti, Fiji, Kazakhstan, Kiribati, Liberia, Mauritania, Micronesia, Palau, Tonga, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Vanuatu. Additionally, Palestinians from the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem are also considered eligible for the scholarship.
- To be eligible, applicants should not possess Canadian citizenship or permanent residency and should not have an ongoing application for permanent residency in Canada.
- Applicants are required to apply to and be accepted into a full-time academic program at a post-secondary institution in Canada.
- Applicants should express their interest in being considered for the Study in Canada Scholarships program at the time of their admission application to a Canadian institution.
- Applicants must have the language skills required to pursue studies in the language of instruction at the Canadian post-secondary institution, which could be either English or French.
