Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the UBC Public Scholars Award, the candidate must be a student in the UBC Doctoral program, which can be a Ph.D., EdD, or DMA.
Students from the UBC Okanagan Campus are also eligible to apply for the UBC Public Scholars Award.
To be eligible for the UBC Public Scholars Award, the candidate must not have completed more than 48 months of doctoral studies on campus.
To be eligible for the UBC Public Scholars Award, the candidates must have registered with the university on or after September 1, 2023.
Exceptions may be made for applicants in their 6th year of doctoral study (48 to 60 months) only under exceptional circumstances.

How to apply?

Applicants are required to submit their applications online.
The applicants are required to download the scholarship application form, complete it and then upload it as part of their online application.
To access the fellowship form, candidates can click the “Apply Now” button on the PSI website.
To apply for the PSI Fellowship, candidates must complete the Canadian Common CV (CCV) on the CCV Web site and upload it as part of their application. The CCV Web site link is https://ccv-cvc.ca/indexresearcher-eng.frm.
The candidates are required to use the Vanier-Banting Academic CV template when completing the CCV.
The applicant’s supervisors must submit two letters of support through the link provided on the application main page, which can be accessed by downloading the necessary documents under “Application Procedures.”
The recommendation letters must bear the signature of the referee, which can be either electronic or digital.
