The primary objective of this project is to enhance the accuracy of annual greenhouse gas emission reports that countries submit to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for constructing, analyzing, and implementing the ORCHIDEE land surface model to assess emission factors across different agricultural and forest management scenarios. Through your contributions, you will play a critical role in improving the representation of emission factors within greenhouse gas emission inventories. To qualify for this position, you must hold a Ph.D. in a relevant field, such as climate science, atmospheric science, or environmental science, and have a proven track record of expertise in land surface modeling. In your role as a postdoctoral researcher, you will be responsible for designing and conducting two extensive experimental studies aimed at evaluating the efficacy of training programs. Specifically, you will investigate whether the use of charisma-enhanced deep fakes has a positive impact on the aspirations, motivation, and learning outcomes of junior managers. Additionally, you will collaborate with our team to develop evidence-based training for managers who would benefit from it. As part of your duties, you may also be required to provide teaching assistance related to this project for up to 0.1 FTE.
