Successful candidates will have the opportunity to study at some of the world’s top universities under the guidance of distinguished and renowned supervisors. The program involves training at A*STAR Research Institutes, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), or Singapore Management University (SMU), with all coursework conducted in English.
Participants will receive PhD training in their chosen laboratories at A*STAR Research Institutes, NTU, NUS, SUTD, or SMU, working under the mentorship of world-class researchers. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be awarded a PhD degree from NTU, NUS, SUTD, or SMU.

Scholarship Benefits
The Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) 2024 is a fully funded scholarship that covers the following expenses for pursuing a Doctoral Degree:
- Full coverage of tuition fees.
- A monthly stipend of S$2,200, which increases to S$2,700 after passing the Qualifying Examination
- A one-time airfare grant of up to S$1,500*
- A one-time settling-in allowance of S$1,000*.

How to Apply for the Singapore International Graduate Award?
Click on “Apply Now” to begin your application for the Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA).
Step 1: Browse PhD Research Projects
Start by searching for PhD research projects. Visit the research area and select the project that interests you.
Step 2: Documents Required
Prepare all necessary documents in advance, as you will need them for your application. Please do not send hard copies to the SINGA office; all documents must be submitted online with your application.
- Identification card or passport
- A recent passport-sized photo (in .jpeg or .png format)
Step 3: Transcripts & Reports
Ensure that all transcripts are provided in English translation.
- Academic transcripts from your Bachelor’s and/or Master’s programs
- Bachelor’s degree certificate(s) or a letter of certification from your university if your degree certificate has not yet been conferred
- Two recommendation reports (to be completed and submitted online by your referees)
Optional:
GRE, IELTS, TOEFL, SAT I & II, or GATE results. Please note that the university may require you to submit satisfactory scores as part of the admission process.
