Academic qualifications: Applicants must hold or be currently completing one of the following qualifications:
- Master by Research
- Master by Coursework with a significant research component graded as high distinction, or equivalent
- Honors degree achieving first-class Honours
- 4-year bachelor’s degree achieving a GPA of 4 or equivalent (80% or above)
- Applicants without the aforementioned qualifications may still be considered if they have previous publications or significant research experience. However, all other applicants will be deemed ineligible.
Citizenship and residency: The scholarship is open to Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens, permanent residents of Australia, as well as international candidates commencing an RMIT PhD program from 1st January 2024.
