Scholarship Value:
The Slovakian government covers all the expenses of selected applicants during their course of study. International students receive the following benefits:
- The International Scholarship covers all the living expenses of its recipients.
- The International Scholarship covers food and accommodation expenses for the duration of the degree program.
- University Student: 400 €
- PhD Student: 734 €
- Travel Allowance for University and PhD candidates:
- distance up to 350 km – 0 €,
- distance more than 350 km, max. 2,000 km – 250 €,
- distance more than 2,000 km, max. 7,000 km – 500 €,

University Teacher, Researcher, Artist:
- Applicants who do not hold a Ph.D. degree and have less than 4 years of work experience as a teacher, researcher, or artist at a university will receive a monthly stipend of €734.
- Applicants who hold a Ph.D. degree and have less than 10 years of work experience as a teacher, researcher, or artist at a university will receive a monthly stipend of €980.
- Applicants who hold a Ph.D. degree and have more than 10 years of work experience as a teacher, researcher, or artist at a university will receive a monthly stipend of €1,050.

The National Scholarship Program 2023 offered by Slovakia is a short-term exchange program that provides funding for research in higher education institutions in Slovakia.
- The duration of the scholarship stay for students is 1-2 full semesters, which typically amounts to 4-5 or 9-10 months. If the academic year is divided into trimesters, the scholarship duration can range from 3-4, 6-7, or 9-10 months depending on the trimester schedule.
- The duration of the scholarship stay for Ph.D. students is 1-10 months.
- Scholarships for teachers, researchers, or artists typically have a duration ranging from 1 to 10 months.

- International students from all over the world are eligible.
- All university students are eligible except for those studying at universities in Slovakia.
- The National Scholarship Program in Slovakia for 2022-23 does not offer full-time scholarships for complete Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree programs.
- Eligible candidates include students enrolled in the second level of higher education (such as Master’s students), as well as those who have completed at least 2.5 years of their university studies in the same program.
