Eligibility Criteria for British Council Scotland EARTH Scholarships:
To be eligible for the British Council Scotland EARTH Scholarships 2024 in the UK, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Available to individuals pursuing a Ph.D. or those in the early stages of their research careers, who are affiliated with a non-UK university and engaged in the field of environmental arts and humanities. This opportunity invites them to visit Scotland in 2024, collaborate with an academic mentor, and utilize the networks and facilities of a hosting Higher Education Institute (HEI).
- Every applicant must presently be enrolled in a Ph.D. program.. or have graduated with a Ph.D. within the broadly defined Arts & Humanities subject areas. Research proposals should also align with subject areas within Arts & Humanities.. For any interdisciplinary Ph.D., at least 50% of the project must fall within the Arts and humanities disciplines. The program strongly encourages research project proposals that have interdisciplinary approaches beyond the Arts and humanities.
- For the purposes of the program, ECRs must be within 1 year of notification of the award of their Ph.D. (Subject to exceptional situations, this can be extended up to a duration of 2 years).
